I Respect Science

The debate over the carbon tax is starting to descend into something unhealthy. I think it a deliberate tactic on the part of the labor party to paint skeptics as those who don’t respect the science. Greg Combet on Meet the Press today tried the same thing to attack the opposition. “The labor party respects the science of climate change”.

Skeptics don’t simply deny science and ignore it, we embrace the real science. We base our opinions on the facts presented by scientists like Professor Bob Carter who was on the Bolt Report today. He explains how the global warming hypothesis “fails” a simple test when we cannot explain the temperature decrease of the last decade when carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere haver increased by 5% in that time, 25% of the total human contribution. We refer to the inconsistancy of the 20th century warming with greenhouse warming (the missing greenhouse signature).

When skeptics are depicted as unscientific, the real science is silenced and all we are left with are Tim Flannery’s dud predicitons.

About Climate Nonconformist

Hi, I'm the climatenonconformist (not my real name), and I am a global warming skeptic, among the few in generation Y. With Australia facing the prospect of a carbon tax, we need to be asking the simple question; where is the evidence that our emissions are causing any dangerous warming?
