They just don’t care

The greens go on about human rights. Asylum seekers are their favourite topic on this issue. How then can they translate such compassion into their push for ridiculously high prices on carbon dioxide emissions?

Christine Milne gleefully admitted that the greens were responsible for Gillard’s backflip on the carbon tax issue. Now they want to impose ridiculously high prices on ordinary families. Ideally they would like at least $40 and it is unlikely to be anymore that that…for the first year. Remember of course that it will keep going up before the transition to an emissions trading scheme. So how high will they go? Sarah Hanson Young’s being mentioning $100, and Greg Barber hasn’t ruled out $500.

Do they even realise the implications for the people of this country? Either they are just ignorant of the enormous pressures facing some families, or they just do not care.

About Climate Nonconformist

Hi, I'm the climatenonconformist (not my real name), and I am a global warming skeptic, among the few in generation Y. With Australia facing the prospect of a carbon tax, we need to be asking the simple question; where is the evidence that our emissions are causing any dangerous warming?
