Informative?

Gillard justifies her government’s $25 million propaganda campaign to sell her carbon tax by claiming it is an “information” campaign designed to ease anxiety. That is a crock. From what I have seen so far, it is designed to promote renewables, “clean energy”.

People are concerned about the impact this tax will have on their livelihood and their hip pocket. This does nothing to allay this fear, so Gillard’s excuse does not fly. How does hearing about the government’s impression of the grandeur of renewable energy convince average Australians that they’re not going to be hit as hard and that their jobs are safe?

It is not an information campaign, it’s only purpose is to further the political prospects of Gillard and the labor party. We want our $25 million back!

About Climate Nonconformist

Hi, I'm the climatenonconformist (not my real name), and I am a global warming skeptic, among the few in generation Y. With Australia facing the prospect of a carbon tax, we need to be asking the simple question; where is the evidence that our emissions are causing any dangerous warming?

She says we want information, it justifies her advertising campaign, but she won’t answer the simplest question- What difference will her tax make to temperature?
