Another government imposition

The Daily Telegraph reports that New South Wales home owners will have to pay for an audit of their homes energy efficiency before selling. Depending on the type of audit undertaken, home owners will have to fork out $200 to $820 to purchase a service that most wouldn’t take up willingly. I’m guessing the $200 option will be the most popular.

The stamp of approval of an audit such as these may provide a benefit to those selling up, in terms of the value of the property, but to force it down people’s throats is a needless government imposition. And all in the name of this global warming propaganda.

About Climate Nonconformist

Hi, I'm the climatenonconformist (not my real name), and I am a global warming skeptic, among the few in generation Y. With Australia facing the prospect of a carbon tax, we need to be asking the simple question; where is the evidence that our emissions are causing any dangerous warming?

  1. Just to make it clear, this is not coming from the New South Wales Government, but from the Federal Government under Julia and the Greens. The Telegraph has merely quoted what it will cost New South Wales home owners.
