Propaganda on my doorstep

It has cost the Australian taxpayer $4 million, for 20 pages of lies and deceits. Worth it? HELL NO.

Julia Gillard claims she is quite happy to use the word “tax”, yet the term does not appear once in this entire document. It’s a “carbon price”. And they reckon households won’t even pay it, only the “big polluters”. Even if consumers aren’t going to be taxed directly, there is still going to be a price impact. That would be why they’re bragging about the compensation on the front page.

There were 45 references to carbon dioxide as “pollution”. I guess that’s the only way they can support their assertion of a ‘clean energy future’, another lie.

They actually brag about the formation of the ‘Climate Change Authority’. Yay, we have a new bureaucracy!

At least they’re putting their (our) money where their mouth is. They have wasted our money carbon offsetting the stupid thing, and to top it all off, it comes in a nice, guilt-appeasing bio-degradable wrapping.

$4 million down the gurgler for this. So Julia, we want our money back. My copy is going straight back to Canberra, but I can’t resist liberating at least some of the carbon contained within it, to the atmosphere. Mmm. I love the smell of carbon dioxide in the morning (except it doesn’t have one).

About Climate Nonconformist

Hi, I'm the climatenonconformist (not my real name), and I am a global warming skeptic, among the few in generation Y. With Australia facing the prospect of a carbon tax, we need to be asking the simple question; where is the evidence that our emissions are causing any dangerous warming?

Bloody OZ post have not yet delivered My Tax paid propaganda.
Perhaps they know that I will return it to “mortgagee in possession of the Lodge”, Canberra.
Must however say I am now in a bit of a dilemma as a wag suggested that I should consider the return address “squatters in possession of the Lodge”, Canberra.

I returned my copy to the ABS—which has counting expertise, I’m led to believe—by way of an envelope helpfully supplied with my census.
