Yeah, right

With speculation abound that Julia Gillard is about to go, she has gotten on the front foot to assure us that she’s not going anywhere.

JULIA Gillard has hit back at reports she is under pressure to step down as Prime Minister, declaring: “I’m not going anywhere.”

As speculation mounts over her future, a defiant Ms Gillard said: “I’m the best person for the job.”

Ms Gillard described reports in today’s newspapers that her leadership was under pressure as “fevered speculation”.

“I’m not going anywhere, I’m the best person to do this job and I’ll continue to do it and what this job is about leading the nation to a better future,” she told ABC radio.

Hang on, haven’t we heard that before?

There’s more chance of me becoming the full forward for the dogs than there is of any change in the Labor Party.

An omen? Then again, she’s never been one for the truth.

There will be no carbon tax under the government that I lead.

About Climate Nonconformist

Hi, I'm the climatenonconformist (not my real name), and I am a global warming skeptic, among the few in generation Y. With Australia facing the prospect of a carbon tax, we need to be asking the simple question; where is the evidence that our emissions are causing any dangerous warming?
