Are we in the clear?

The government has its back to the wall, and Gillard surely hasn’t long to go as PM. They are the worst government and prime minister in our history respectively. They cannot come back from this, and the only questions remaining are:

  • how long before Gillard goes?
  • who will replace her?
  • how long before the government falls?
  • how will they fall? Thomson forced to quit, Wilkie pulls the plug (fancy a former green being the one to kill off the carbon tax) or a coalition landslide in 2013?

In ten months, the carbon dioxide tax will come into effect. Labor may not last this long and Gillard certainly won’t. Could the tax be killed off before its even introduced? Only time will tell.

About Climate Nonconformist

Hi, I'm the climatenonconformist (not my real name), and I am a global warming skeptic, among the few in generation Y. With Australia facing the prospect of a carbon tax, we need to be asking the simple question; where is the evidence that our emissions are causing any dangerous warming?

Gillard won’t go quietly IMHO but the longer she stays the worse it gets for Labor ….

Disagree with you there it really makes no difference who is the leader they are gone the only question is when and to a very small extent it seems by how much. It is possible they will get worse as time goes on because the few voters who still like them (not sure why) might continue to leave.
