Yet another ‘snowless’ prediction

Have you heard the one about snow being a thing of the past in Britain?

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.

“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.

It didn’t happen. For all these predictions of the snow disappearing, I do not count one which has eventuated. Now, here’s another.

AUSTRALIA’S ski slopes could be completely bare of natural winter snow by 2050 unless concerted action is taken against global warming, according to a government-commissioned report that paints a grim picture of the effects of climate change on alpine areas.

The alarmists have been a bit smarter here, by setting their deadline forty years from now. By then, we’ll have all forgotten about this lousy prediction and won’t be able to laugh in its stupidity. Notice, also that this was a “government-commissioned report”. It’s the kind of report that would make the uncritical more open to the carbon tax. It’s the kind of report that suits the government’s agenda.

About Climate Nonconformist

Hi, I'm the climatenonconformist (not my real name), and I am a global warming skeptic, among the few in generation Y. With Australia facing the prospect of a carbon tax, we need to be asking the simple question; where is the evidence that our emissions are causing any dangerous warming?
