I find this astounding that someone could have such a contempt for the taxpayers dollar.
ONE of the anti-whaling protesters recovered from a Japanese ship by an Australian customs vessel says he reckons taxpayers can bear the cost of their stunt.
But they believe the cost of sending out the customs ship Ocean Protector to retrieve them was worth it.
“About the cost of it, I’ve actually sat down and done the maths and it works out about $1 per taxpayer,” Mr Tuxworth said.
“I mean is that too much? One dollar each to save a whole bunch of whales?”
No, it wasn’t to save whales, it was to bail your sorry, lazy, hippie arse out of Japan. Secondly, show us your work. Where did you pull that figure from? Thirdly, does this clown understand that taxpayers work hard for their money, and that none chose for it to be spent this way and most do not approve it being so? Why couldn’t Greenpeace foot the bill. The arrogance of this man is mind-blowing.
We knew they were self-righteous, reckless and irresponsible, but here’s some proof they are just plain stupid.
His two fellow protesters have told the ABC’s Triple J program Hack they thought the Shonan Maru would be forced to return them to Australian soil once they jumped on board.
You illegally boarded their vessel, you tools. They expected no consequences from their actions, and although the outcome was slightly different, they received no consequences. That should serve as a great deterrent for other beatniks who want to wage naval warfare with one of our closest economic allies (18.9% of our exports and 8.7% of our imports).
