Revolution in WA?

Federal Liberal MP Dr Dennis Jensen has long called for a royal commission into the science of climate change. It would encourage debate and apply scrutiny to some of the claims of these warmists. There is now a proposition by the state liberal party to conduct such an enquiry.

Although, Fairfax and the ABC seem content to focus on the dissent within the party over the plan. This includes premier Colin Barnett, who has labelled it “not sensible”. However, he does recognise that the science is not settled, which is a hell of a lot better than the Prime Minister (“the science is in“).

If a royal commission was conducted in WA, if would set a precedent to other governments across the country. A fair and impartial enquiry would cast strong doubts over the need for a carbon tax and bring skeptical views into the mainstream. It is the first step towards stopping global warming hysteria.

About Climate Nonconformist

Hi, I'm the climatenonconformist (not my real name), and I am a global warming skeptic, among the few in generation Y. With Australia facing the prospect of a carbon tax, we need to be asking the simple question; where is the evidence that our emissions are causing any dangerous warming?

  1. Yes, it really is important for all Liberal Governments to set up Enquiries. It is the only way we shall get the public in general to sit up and take notice. We really need to send as many emails as possible to all Liberal state members whether in government or not. Queensland’s election draws nearer and that will be another big change, long overdue.

They might then get all the dams to keep all life alive in the north. Labor stopped the new Mareeba Dam near Cairns just to get Green preferences which got them into power. The existing dams supplying Cairns were built for a city of 30,000. Today it has a population of 135,000, and precious water that teems down in February is all being lost out to sea.

Dams in the north could also supply enough water for the south during periods of drought. There is sufficient rainfall to turn our whole continent into a lush green land. But the Greens will have none of it.
