Mayan Apocalypse or Global Warming?

It’s 2012, looks like our days our numbered. If global warming doesn’t get us by the end of the year (so say the more alarmist predictions), then the doom ‘prophesied’ by the Mayans certainly will.

Well these things sure do make exciting a premise for a movie. Just think 2012, The Day After Tomorrow and An Inconvenient Truth. All depict doomsday scenarios, all capture the imagination and none are based on any solid science. What else can you expect? People love to be scared. We have a fascination with doom and gloom that feeds this alarmism. These sort of apocalypse scares are inevitable in such a climate.

About Climate Nonconformist

Hi, I'm the climatenonconformist (not my real name), and I am a global warming skeptic, among the few in generation Y. With Australia facing the prospect of a carbon tax, we need to be asking the simple question; where is the evidence that our emissions are causing any dangerous warming?
