When a bunch of idiots sent death threats to a number of climate scientists at ANU, it was always going to work well towards a PR exercise. Now that the emails have been released, we can see that, wait for it…they’re not even death threats. Just as Tony Windsor whinged about a death threat that wasn’t, the fairfax press has gotten in a spin over people swearing. Abuse is not a death threat and hoping that someone will die is not the same as threatening to ensure that happens.
Yes, these emails are reprehensible, but the amusing (and infuriating) part is how they represent skeptics as a bunch of feral bogans when their side is guilty of some of the worst hate-filled propaganda since the third reich. Look how Clive Hamilton, the eco-fascist, smears the denial movement with these emails as a propaganda tool. Perhaps he has selective memory, and forgets about the eco-terrorist ad campaign of blowing up the heads of children who disagree with them, part of a growing list. What about the actual death threats received by Dr. Tim Ball, who was told he wouldn’t live to see further global warming.
While these emails cannot be condoned, we shouldn’t conveniently forget the barbarism advocated by the green movement.

Oh, for goodness sake, how can we take you seriously when you can’t even spell! The word is ‘tendencies’.
Yes, that’s right. Go right for the spelling. Now you don’t have to deal with my arguments. Just focus on the ad homs and continue living in ignorance.
